Michael Cassady is an actor/musician from Iowa who performs in Los Angeles at the UCB, Largo at the Coronet, Steve Allen Theatre, Geffen Playhouse, and others. He is a member of the UCB sketch group "A Kiss From Daddy", and the UCB Harold Team "Arts & Athletics." Other UCB credits include Freak Dance, The Cigar of Charlyne Yi, Fireball Deluxe:DadQuest, Comedy Death Ray, What's Going On? w Mike Mitchell, Sketch Cram, Dirtiest Sketch Contest LA, Two Ghostbusters Meet Two Ninja Turtles, UCB Gets You Laid, among others.
As a composer he's written original music for the TV series "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (ABC), the TV series "Players" (Spike), and for the feature musical "Freak Dance", and music for many videos and stage shows. Michael plays piano, writes, and sings in the piano-pop trio "Don't Stop Or We'll Die".
Other stage acting credits include Michael's solo play "Catalpa" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and LA's Evidence Room Theatre (Winner of LA WEEKLY AWARD for Best Solo Performance); Shipwrecked! at South Coast Repertory and the revival at the Geffen Playhouse, among many others. Films include the feature adaptation of Freak Dance, directed by Neil Mahoney and Matt Besser, Killers (Lionsgate), Eagle Eye (Dreamworks). TV credits include The Office, Drop Dead Diva, Happy Endings, New Adventures of Old Christine, Popzilla.
