Michael Hartney

Michael Hartney is thrilled to be a member of the UCBT Harold Team Side Piece. He also co-hosts and produces the monthly showcase Characters Welcome with Justin Tyler. Michael directed Joanna Bradley's hilarious solo show I Am Very Important People, as well as The Dead Dads Club, in which he also appears as a crazy-old funeral home director.

Michael was the writer and performer of So I Like Superman: A One-Nerd Show, and also co-created Ten Men: A Two Man Character Show. Past UCBT teams include Lloyd Team First Lady as well as Maude Teams High Treason, Arbuckle, The Prom, and Legs for Days. Other past shows at UCBT include Spoiler Alert: This Is A Sketch Show, The 2017 Tony Awardz, Brad Sacks Gets A Handjob, Oh My God, I Heard You're Dying!, and The Same Sex-Tacular. Michael has appeared on 30 Rock, in the films Small Time and BearCity, in web shorts for Above Average and Yahoo, and commercials for Visa/NFL, Hanes, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, and many more.

Michael is also a staff writer at Logo, where he created the 1st-ever Vine soap opera, The Vines of Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the award-winning Ru-Dunnit!
