Matt Dennie

Matt is an actor, writer, and director, originally from Washington state. In 2009 he moved to New York to study at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre. He has had the privilege of working with many amazing teachers including Chris Gethard , Brandon Gardner, Gavin Speiller, Betsy Stover, Will Hines, Silivija Ozols, Erik Tanouye, Michael Delaney, Jordan Klepper, and many more.

He is currently a performer on the Harold team Guthrie. Along with Josh Sharp, he is a creator and host of bizarro comedy showcase COOL SHIT/WEIRD SHIT which can be seen every month at the UCBEast. The two also have sketch show running at the theater called MANEATER: The True Story of The Champwat Tigress (dir. Brandon Gulya). You can see Matt directing, writing and performing in Showtime with Anthony Apruzzese, a late night talk show, every month at the UCBEast. Other UCB credits include The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln: A Comedy (by Brandon Gardner) and the performance classes ( ), 12 Angry Improvisers, and The Three Hander.

When not doing improv and comedy Matt spends his free time doing more improv and comedy.
