Johnathan Fernandez

Johnathan is from the Poconos, went to Penn State, then moved to NYC where he has taken UCB classes under Bobby Moynihan, Charlie Sanders, Joe Wengert, and Curtis Gwinn. He has appeared on The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, MTV's I Just Want My Pants Back, NBC's Next Caller, Nickelodeon, was a host for the first season of Morgan Spurlock's Mansome, has the briefest of cameos in the New Pornographer's Moves music video, played Gollum/Smeagol in a short film by Matt Walsh, is in a bunch of LandlineTV videos, some Funny or Die videos, a video by Michael Showalter, commercials and other stuff. He was also a lead in the indie film Director's Cut which signed for distribution, was re-edited, and renamed to Let's Make a Movie. Fernandez booked a role in the film The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, starring James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain, it comes out in the fall of 2013. He gets to punch James in the face.

Johnathan has also become a regular panelist on VH-1's Big Morning Buzz Live with Carrie Keagan, and will be seen in an upcoming episode of MTV's Blogger Girls. JF will also be seen on season three of HBO's GIRLS.

Fernandez has directed/written/produced myriad shorts with his friends; one of which won a sketch contest hosted by Human Giant. His current video sketch team named Bumbershoot consistently gets featured on dailymotion.com's front page. UCB-wise, he has appeared in many many many shows, was a finalist in the NBC/UCB 2011 Diversity Showcase, and also wrote a one hour sketch show for Comedy Central's Corporate Retreat at the UCB East. Ol' JF is extraordinarily ecstatic to be acting on UCB's first ever sketch weekend house team STONE COLD FOX most Fridays of the month! Oh, and at one point he wrestled as Mr. Wizard in the UCBW tag team: Magic Incorporated.
